Oakland Family Portraits

Sara and Ryan were ready to finally make time for family portraits last Fall and I wanted to make it special. They have adorable boys, and we talked about cute wardrobe options for them. I love that they came in classic bowties and suspenders, in contrast to the rugged yet the beautiful redwoods of Joaquin Miller Park in the oakland hills. I brought a red wagon and the youngest son brought his teddy bear. That was no planned, lol. Although I thought it might be a hinderance to the session, it became an lovely addition! We now have a child’s favorite stuffie in the family portraits and he went from wary in font of the camera to overjoyed. I love the candid, relaxed and playful energy of this family, they were so much fun to photograph and we definitely captured moments they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
