Intimate, Natural St. Louis Maternity Photography

Pregnancy is emotional. Pregnancy is life-changing.

As a St. Louis maternity photographer, my job is to capture the genuine, pure, unfiltered moments of your journey with you and your loved ones, anywhere across the St. Louis metro. No studio poses, only candid, in-the-moment snapshots.

Motherhood begins now

It’s true the moment your baby is born your world changes. But let’s not forget the wonders of pregnancy. No one will ever get to experience what it’s like carrying your child but you. Even with swollen feet, a sore back, and mind-boggling cravings at all hours of the day, you’re a superhero. You deserve to be celebrated.

Get ready for the greatest adventure of your life.

Your family is growing, so why not mark this milestone with maternity photos? This is the start of life into parenthood, and trust me, nothing compares to it. This is just one of many milestones to come, and I hope to join you and your family and help capture each moment along the way.

"I loved every moment of taking my maternity pictures with Christina. And that is saying a lot when you are 8-months pregnant! She made everything so easy, carefree and joyous. She led us to the best locations, helped me prepare outfits and guided us through poses. We truly felt like we were celebrating the last days before our family changed forever. I can not thank you enough Christina! I will cherish these photos forever!!!" - Elaine

FAQ

How far along should I be for maternity photos?

Between 28 and 36 weeks for most pregnancies. That is when your bump reads clearly in photos but you are still comfortable walking and posing. For twins or an early delivery risk, we move that up to roughly 26 to 30 weeks.

What should I wear for maternity photos?

Fitted over flowing, in soft solid colors. Anything that skims the bump shows the shape; anything tent-like hides it. Every booking includes a style guide with examples, and you are welcome to send me photos of your options beforehand.

Do you provide dresses or gowns for the session?

Yes, I have a client wardrobe of maternity gowns in several sizes you are welcome to use, and you can also bring your own favorites.

Can my partner and kids be in the maternity photos?

Yes, and I hope they are. Some of my favorite frames are a toddler pressing an ear to the bump. We will do a mix: some of just you, some with your partner, some with everyone.

Where do maternity sessions take place in St. Louis?

Anywhere in the metro. Outdoors at Forest Park or the Missouri Botanical Garden, or in your own home if you would rather stay comfortable. In-home maternity sessions are more popular than people expect.

What time of day is best for maternity photos?

Golden hour, the hour before sunset, gives that soft glow. For in-home sessions we work with your best window light instead.
