Oakland Photographer | Block Family Portraits

As an Oakland photographer, I’m always looking for unique locations to photograph my families. Well this time, I was introduced to a fabulous new location by my clients! The Block Family said we should check out the Hive in downtown Oakland. And they were right. I am a sucker for textured backdrops and unique colors, and we got them there. There are brick walls, a people milling about and the punch blue exterior of the Bay Area’s own Humphry Slocomb ice cream shop. Check out the other businesses there like Drake’s Dealership, Red Bay Coffee and People’s Barber and Shop.

This is a group who really values capturing their family with vibrant photography. They let me be silly with them so I can capture their laid-back personalities and energy.
