Family Maternity Portrait Session

If you are considering a maternity photoshoot in the Bay Area, your options for beautiful locations can be overwhelming. We are so lucky with the variety of this stunning region! As a maternity photographer, I help guide my clients to find a location that suits them either as a couple or a family. These portraits are of a wonderful couple Kathryn, Nick and their adorable daughter, Emma. They chose to be photographed in Livermore, near their home, at Del Valle Regional Park, with gorgeous views of hills, valleys and iconic California oak trees.

Nothing could be more rewarding than photographing a family as they grow. I have had the distinct pleasure of photographing Kathryn and Nick’s engagement session, wedding, newborn session for their daughter Emma, and now Kathryn’s maternity session with her second child. I am so honored when clients continuously trust me with their families’ memories. 

Some women wonder if a maternity session is an important investment. Most of my clients are apprehensive about taking pictures of themselves pregnant.  The mere thought of the image of themselves in a condition not as they are used to seeing themselves – especially in pictures – in itself creates stress.  This is where working with a professional can make all of the difference.  But, uou are beautiful! You should take the time to celebrate these amazing changes in your body and this even more amazing moment in your life. The photos will become a wonderful gift to pass down to your child as an heirloom of your first memories with them.  Truly a lifetime treasure.  This moment will only come once for you. If it’s your first pregnancy and you plan to have more – there will still never be a time when you are pregnant with your first.  Don’t be afraid to capture that and celebrate it because I promise you if you don’t it will be something you will forever wish you had!.
