These portraits in Palo Alto feature a beautiful family with the most beautiful girls in the world. I was Carrie and Jeff’s wedding photographer, so it’s incredibly touching to now photograph them with their precious daughters. Sometimes I find it hard for kids to loosen-up, but Lila and Eva used their inner divas to teach me a thing or two! I couldn’t keep up with their leaps and skips. Their beautiful hair flew in the air, and their smiles were radiant. We chose to photograph the session at the Stanford University campus. The architecture is world-class and it’s a special place because Jeff attended medical school there. With all my family photography sessions, I photograph the kids together, with each parent, each alone and together as a family. Because children change so quickly, I’m just tickled that they made the time to make these portraits happen.
It was moving to look through my photo galleries to choose some of my best portraits of 2016. Each family I worked with last year was so unique. We worked together in Emeryville, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Oakland and San Francisco. Some sessions took place at clients’ homes or special places the family likes to visit. From babies to teens, we customized the sessions so that everyone enjoyed the experience. What a privilege for me to be a family photographer, I hope to photograph your family in 2017!
Could these women be more beautiful? Let’s not forget super handsome Dad, too! A pleasure to work with the Flores Family this year. We chose a beautiful spot in the East Bay redwoods, with beautifully diffused light and epic backgrounds. Inspiring to witness fun, loving family interactions, even in the teen years! It was truly a privilege. Thank you Flores Family!
These family portraits in San Francisco feature the wonderful Marshbrun Family. I have been lucky enough to work with them for years and see the beautiful kids grow. Each session we decide on a groovy new location. This year we chose North Beach in San Francisco. How fun! I love working in colorful urban settings for an unusual visual style. In addition, we love in one of the most beautiful cities on earth, so why not give it a starring role in the session? The textures and cityscapes make for intriguing elements in the portraits. In addition, this family is so loving and playful, it was a dream to work with them yet again. Yay!
This East Bay family portrait session gave me the opportunity to photograph another set of twin girls in one month! No need to ask for any presents this year after those two sessions. Eloise and Emerson are 5 years-old and will make your heart melt. Parents Glennie and Ben are so at ease with the spunky duo, it’s hard to imagine this family combination any other way. I love how warm and affectionate everyone is with eachother. This experience warmed my heart and I’m thrilled this moment in time has been captured for this family to celebrate for decades to come.
