Jennifer and I met in college, many years ago, in the photojournalism department of San Francisco State University. We immediately bonded over our love of documentary photography and the emotional impact of the craft. She went on to land a position as staff photographer at the Times-Picayune in New Orleans. Her impact there was powerful, leaving insightful photo essays of this storied town.

Later, she branched out and started her own successful boutique photography business, Twirl, in New Orleans. If you travel to the Big Easy, you MUST book a session with her, she’s amazing. She’s truly incorporated her documentary and artistic eye in to her portraits and weddings to create timeless images for her clients. I was lucky enough to visit her last month and do a fun family maternity session ,as they are expecting their second child, soon. Her beautiful daughter, Magnolia, was a dream subject, her fabulous dresses against the colorful walls and varied textures of New Orleans was inspiring. Mark is a great guy and is obviously in love with his beautiful women. What a great city to photograph in and I am so excited for this family’s new arrival!
